Which of the following is not a state function
Option
- Work
- Free energy
- Entropy
- Enthalpy
The answer is Work
A state function is a function of the parameter of the system which only depend upon the parameters value at endpoint of the path. For example internal energy or free energy, enthalpy, and entropy, are state quantities because it describe quantitatively equilibrium of a thermodynamic system, irrespective of how the system arrived in that state.
