EFFECT OF STERILIZATION

There are many factor militating sterilization technique using autoclave, such factor are;

  1. Prevention of steam penetration does to the porosity of the load in the autoclave.
  2. Package: doe to excessive packaging in the autoclave may required prolong heating time so as to allowed proper penetration of steam on the in other to achieved a required sterilization.

In other to ensure proper direction of the above listed factor, several guideline must be adhere to such guideline include;

  • Loading configuration must be up to date, i.e. there performance must be sure.
  • Load made up of different type of container should not be allowed if perfect sterilization must be achieved, unless the worst part of the written play is assumed to be incorrect. Then it may end up in overheating and cause severe damage to the autoclave load.
  • Penetration of steam to all part of the product in question to be sterilized is compulsory. Sometime the bottle of culture media or aqueous liquids may generate their own steam within the containers result to heat up time to some extend depend on the volume of liquid in the bottle of the media.

CONTROL OF STERILIZATION

There are basic approach used in controlling sterilization, the technique are;

The used of microbial technique to determine the state of the given product.

Monitoring the sterilization process by one half and make indirect idea by reasoning about the sterility of the product base on the step it has undergone.
