Requirement to study bachelor of arts (B.A) Islamic religion

Importance of studying bachelor of arts in islamic study

1 acquaint the student with the broad outlines of islam as a way of life.

2 prepare the student to understand islam and being able to relate it to the contemporary society

3 train the student for the growing national need for manpower in the following areas

Education: which particular reference to secondary and tertiary institution

civil service: both public and private.

international relations: most expensive OPEC, arab and muslim countries

research into impact of arabic and islam with reference to west africa and nigeria in particular.

4 to meet the desire of nigerians who world exposure to islamic culture, education and law of everyday use.

Program structure and degree rules

bachelor of arts, islamic studies program are structured into a minimum of 8 semester and maximum of sixteen as outlined below.However, candidate processing a direct entry requirement will enter at the 200 level for a six semester minimum and twelves semester maximum structure.
