Local diver have recorded 21 corps following a boat mishap that take place at the rabah local government area of sokoto state on the august 2nd 2018.
The director general of the state emergency management agency mr ibrahim Dingyadi, who confirmed the incident the reveal that 12 people we are reportedly rescued.
Mr ibrahim also said that the victims of this boat mishaps we are mainly internally displaced person from a camp in the state.
According to him the cause of this boat mishap is as a result of overload.
He said that 33 people boarded the boat from the internally displaced person camp at gandhi community going to a village known as Gindan Kare in the Rabah local government area of the state.
He said that the victim in were majorly womens and children and that the dead people among them has since been buried according to the islamic rites.
The director general also one boat operators in the state. Overloading they’re both in order to prevent unwanted death.
He also assured that the agency had put measures in place to prevent any such of further incident.
