INSTALLING XMPPs ON WINDOW

There are many WAMPs, develop by different company, some of these application are available only on paid version, while there are also free version, open source that you can download and install it on your computer systems. Each of these server offer almost the same configuration. On these post we going teach you how to download and install free version of the server. The one we recommend here is XAMPPs.

After clicking on the link it will take you to the following page shown below;

As you can see on the above page there are different version of XAMPP, for different type of Operating System.

 Since we are working window, we are going to click XAMPP for window to download it to our System.

Note: it is recommended that you download the latest version of the application.

After downloading, locate the file you download on your system and double click to begin setting up XAMPPs server on a window operating systems. On clicking to the downloaded file, the following page will open

As we can see above, it welcome you to XAMPPs set up wizard, then click on next, it will take you to another page shown below;

On the page above you can see that it asking us to select component, so make sure that mark all the box as it was mark on the page above, after that, click Next,  then it will take you to another page shown below;

On the above page it asking you to select installation folder, you don’t have to do anything here just click Next, to continue to the next page shown below

On these page you still don’t have anything to, so just click Next, to continue to the next page shown below;

On these page it ask ready to install, just click Next, to begin your installation, after click next it will take you to following pages,

On the page above it welcome you to XAMPP!. The installation begins, you can see to progress of the installation, just wait until the installation is complete, after that the following page will appears;

On the above page it ask you  to completing the XAMPP setup wizard, so just click Finish, to complete the set up.

Now after installation, one thing still remain, that is to set up the control panel of the server

To setup the control panel, click double on the program install on your computer system, I page shown below will open.

Now what you will do next is to configure your installed application, to configure the application, click on config shown at the top right corner of the above picture, then another page shown below will open;

Now checked the following, Apache, MySQL, Enable Tomcat output window, and check default ports on startup as shown on the above page, and click save to save your setting.

Now you can test your installed server to make is working fine. To test your install server, open any web browser and type the following; Localhost/xampp/splash.php, on url space and click search, if your server is correctly installed a page shown below will open

When you see it shown the above page congratulation you have successfully install your server, you can start building your website application.
