NUC Approves Nine OSUSTECH programmes
The vice chancellors of Ondo State University of Science and Technology Okitipura, Ondo State, Professor Sunday Ogunduyile, reveal that National University Commission NUC, have accredited nine additional programmes to the University programs.
According to the professor, the programmes newly accredited includes;
- Computer science
- Biology
- Geophysics
- Industrial chemistry
- Physics
- Zoology
- Fisheries
- Mathematics
- Food Technology
The prof, make these known when he was addressing journalist in Akure, Ondo state capital Monday 11 of January 2019. He said that the accreditation was approved January 2019 when accreditation team visited the university October 2018.
He also said that there are dilapidated infrastructure in the institution, but current administration have intervene, as we speak now many infrastructural rehabilitation is ongoing in the institution.
The prof. said the university was once one of the university that run one faculty system, but since he assume office two years ago, they have establish faculty of Agricultural food , Science and Technology, Agricultural Technology and Statistic department.
With these achievement, it now make the university to have space to admit more student.
He further reveal that they are working on how to establish Marine Engineering, Geology, Petroleum, and gas department with support of the present Government, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and the governing council.
