I Will Beat APC Flat, Says Maku, Targets Over 80% Votes

CONSENSUS gubernatorial candidate of the opposition in Nasarawa State, Hon. Labaran Maku, says he will beat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) flat on Saturday.

Maku expressed the confidence while addressing his supporters predominantly farmers at the weekend, assuring them of adequate security and incentives to boast production.

He said March 09 would be a day of reclaiming the People’s mandate stolen in 2015, warning however that if elected his administration wouldn’t tolerate breakdown of law and order.

“Anyone who break the law, the law will break him/her,” he added and called for peaceful coexistence.

Maku stressed that he had the capacity, the experience and sincerity to deliver the Nasarawa of everybody’s dream.

Speaking further, he commends youth for their continued supports and promised not to disappoint.

Maku disclosed that he had a robust plan to provide jobs for the teeming youths who in turn would drive the prosperity of the State.

He added that he would improve security in all parts of the State to safeguard lives and property.

On the rumour that he has withdrawn from the race to hand ruling party victory, Maku described it as “fake news”.

“I believe that it is people running scared, people who know that we are going to defeat them on Saturday that are spreading such fake news. I call on all Nasarawa State citizens to ignore such fake news.

“I remain the strongest candidate, I remain the candidate to beat and there is no reason for me to withdraw, and I will not withdraw,” he added.
