Withholding My Certificate Of Return Can Cause Tension In Imo – Okorocha.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that withholding his Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may lead to raise of tension in Imo State.

The Governor reveals these as he react to the development of withholding his certificate of returned, which where presented to the elected Senators today at Abuja.

Okorocha said that the action of INEC to withhold his certificate of return because of allegation label against him, of which INEC did not hear his own side of the allegation is a bridge of his constitutional right.

We can recall that INEC had earlier released names of those elected who are to be issued certificate of return that was scheduled to hold today 14th of March 2019.

There were 109 list of elected Senators, however, Okorocha’s name was removed as results of allegations by Imo West Senatorial District returning officer, Professor Innocent Ibeabuchi, which said he was held under duress to pronounced Okorocha the winner of the Imo West Senatorial District.

Governor Okorocha, however, said that the action by INEC is an insult to his personality and a mockery to Nigeria democracy.

The Governor say these as he was Addressing some of his supporters at the government house in Owerri, the Imo state capital today, Okorocha alleged that he was aware that INEC had planned with some of his political enemies to deny him his mandate.

He urged INEC to do the right thing and lift the upholding his mandate and present him his Certificate of Return.
