STUDENT’S STAND READY FOR 8th CONVOCATION CEREMONY

All construction works at the student’s stand, convocation ground is now ready for the smooth hosting of NOUN 8th convocation ceremony.

Vice Chancellor NOUN Prof Abdallah Uba Adamu and his manaement had earlier set out to construct a befitting permanent grand stand for students at the convocation square.

To this end, work at the site knows not night and day to meet up with its completion dateline according to Smart Abulu Deputy Director works and services DPW&S NOUN.

He says with the creation of a permanent stand, Prof. Abdallah Uba Adamu and his management have saved the university of expending huge some of money to hire canopies and chairs yearly especially during convocation.

Abulu maintained and assure of the quality of work done which according to him is of any stadium quality in Nigeria.

“To meet up with the dateline, the contractor was working day and night at site with all the relevant manpower and equipment in other to meet up with the convocation dateline” Abulu added.

Responding the engineer of the project site Architect Pelemi says, the students stands is expected to seat over 1,700 with an extra provision of 500 chairs seating arrangements.

He assured of the quality of the job notwithstanding the pace at which the job was executed. “Every single application on the construction site was executed according to the books, there should be no need for any concerns as additional enforcement was applied to standardized the quality of work”.

While at the project site, NOUN news reporter observed last minute summary of work ongoing, how spacious, well ventilated the student’s stand is as well as the quality of the job.
