Ogunlaja Elijah, a notorious cultist, who has been on the wanted list of the Lagos State Police Command, following allegation that he killed rival cult members and some innocent citizens in Lagos, was yesterday arrested by Lagos State police command.
Upon his arrest, the notorious cultist broke down in tears in an apparent expression of remorse over his misdeeds.
The arrest of the suspect’s came as relief for residents of Shomolu/Bariga area of Lagos, as they alleged he had unleased mayhem on many of them living in the area.
Giving detail on how he become a cultist, 28-year-old Elijah the notorious cultist, who was arrested alongside with two other suspected cultists, Yesuru Adesanya and Kunle Osnowo, said: “ I live in Oworoshoki area of Lagos. I was initiated into cultism in 2016 when I accompanied my friend to his father’s burial in Osun State. When we came back to Lagos, I started my cult gang.
When he was asked what did he have to tell the families members of people he has killed?
Elija said I feel sorry for the family of victims I killed.
