At list 11 people was said to have lost their lives, and several others sustained various degree of injuries as petrol tanker exploded along the Gombe Biu bypass.
Confirming the incident, the Head of the Accident and Emergency Unit specialist of Gombe State attest to incident on the status of anonymity.
Channels Television reported that four persons which are in a severed conditions are presently admitted at the hospital while 10 others who had mild injuries have received medical attention and have been discharged.
Explaining the how the accident happened by an witnesses, he said that the accident happen when a tanker loaded with petrol lost brake and rammed into a truck loaded with battle of water crushing two motorcycles and two tricycles.
Some of the victims were reportedly burnt beyond recognition.
Concerned authorities were yet to make a formal statement on the incident as at the time of filing this report
