DON’T PRAY FOR A BIGGER BLESSING IF YOU ARE GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A BIGGER BURDEN/CHALLENGES.

A mistake we make too often is that we think that when we reach a certain goal or level in life, then we will be happy. Life is never problem free. The real joy in life is in the fear of God and trusting God in all conditions. Yes, you will be happy when you accomplish your goals but there are certain challenges that come along with it. I have heard it said, “With every blessing comes a burden”. You will never come to a place where you are problem free, having no conflict and everybody is celebrating you. That is not reality. If you don’t learn to be content where you are, you won’t be content when your dreams come to pass and you won’t even stand the challenges that comes with that blessing or your new level. Because, when you are blessed with that promotion, what comes with it is more responsibility and challenges.

David said it this way in Psalm 23, “God will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies”. That means God will not only make your wrongs right, but God will bless you in front of your enemies. God could promote you anywhere but He will give you honour, recognition and favour in front of the people who tried to pull you down. That person who lied about you and tried to keep you from rising higher, don’t worry about him or her. One day, they will see you receiving the credit that you deserve. All the things that come against us to try to get us upset like people talking, gossiping, spreading rumours, not giving you respect are all distractions.

Isaiah put it this way, “No weapon formed against you will prosper”, (Isaiah 54:17). He didn’t say we won’t have difficulties or never have a problem. Challenges will come, people may talk. God said “The problem may form but you can stay in peace, knowing that it is not going to prosper against you”, because you are in the secret place of the Most High, God has a hedge of protection, mercy and favour around you that the enemy cannot cross. No person, no trouble etc, can stop God’s plan for your life. All the forces of darkness cannot keep you from your destiny.

When you are tempted to worry or tempted to get upset, just imagine yourself leaning back in a good comfortable chair, putting your feet up and resting them on top of that problem. You are saying, “God, it is under my feet”. Psalm 110 says, “God will make your enemies (challenges) your footstool. And II Samuel 22:40 says, You have put my enemies (problems) under my feet. Therefore, say, “God, I know you are in control, I am at peace and I trust your timing. When you are at peace, it is a position of power. When you’re at rest, God is fighting your battles.
