Boko Haram attacks another Nigerian military base, 15 soldiers killed

Boko Haram terrorist killed 15 soldiers and wounded 19 in a fresh attack on military base in Maiduguri.
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists were reported to have attacked Magumeri local government area (LGA) of Borno state, At about 6pm 3rd of Friday 2019, killing 1 captain, 1 lieutenant and 13 others soldiers, while 19 soldiers sustained various degree of injuries.

The wounded soldiers have been evacuated to the military hospital in Maiduguri for treatment, as disclosed by security source.

Confirming the reports, Premium Times reports that the insurgents come into Magumeri local government area at about 6pm on Friday, May 3, and attacked an army brigade.

15 soldiers were lost in the process, among of the soldiers lost during the attack were a captain and a lieutenant.

Legit.ng said “The identity of the officers has been withheld to allow Nigerian Army enough time to notify their loved ones”.

The report said 24 soldiers who survived the attack have deserted from the base to another militar base that is safe.

many heavy military equipment, including anti-aircraft machine guns and Toyota Hilux vehicles were stolen by the insurgent during the attack.

The amount of the casualties from the terrorists is yet be know. But the attacked has be claimed by the Islamic State in West Africa (ISWA) through its propaganda channels.

But Nigerian Army has not issue any statement about the attack yet.
