Angry Protester block Osinbajo’s convoy in Abuja

Aggrieved protesters was yesterday blocked the convoy of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo while passing along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua expressway in Abuja on Tuesday morning.

The vice-president was heading to the airport when his convoy was blocked at the Goza village axis of the road.

Residents of the area which are Gbagyi village converged on the spot, which is the major road connecting the airport to the city, to protest the purported invasion of their land by the Nigeria military.

The vice-president security aides tried to plead with the protesters but did not yield positive result, that led Osinbajo to come down from his car.

Some of the protesters applause the vice-president as he go close to them.

In his address to the protesters, Osinbajo plead for calm atmosphere, he then assure them that their grievances would be addressed.

After addressing, the protesters then allow convoy to pass but denied access to other vehicles.
