IGP promised to address areas that have to do with the discipline of officers that have been found wanting

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Mohammed Abubakar Adamu promise to deal with area were disciplinary measure are to be apply on any police officer found guilty.

IGP make the promise while briefing the senate plenary yesterday about the security situation in Nigeria.

The IGP also assured Nigerian that he will do all what he can to improve security challenge Nigerian is facing currently.

According senator president Dr. Bukola Saraki who reveal the details of the discussion said “the Senate received a briefing from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, on the issues of insecurity across the nation.

The IGP promised to address areas that have to do with the discipline of officers that have been found wanting; strengthen the efforts to improve the security across the nation; and also utilise technology and enhanced intelligence techniques to secure the nation.

In responding to the pledge, the senates promise to support the police with it required to achieved ever lasting peace in Nigeria.

Bukola said, “The Senate also reiterated that it stands ready at any time to ensure that the Nigerian Police has all that it needs to be able to combat all threats to our nation’s security”.
