United Nation Development Programmes (UNDP), has release result on the poverty status of Nigeria, the result released is based on the six geopolitical region of Nigeria.
According to the recent result released UNDP,
North central took 3rd position as the region, with the high rate of poverty in Nigeria, while Kogi State is the most poverty State in the region.
According to the report, North East took 1st as the most poverty region in the country, follow by North west.
While South East is the list poverty region in Nigeria.

North East = 72.2%
North West = 71.2%
North Central =67%
South West = 43%
South South = 36.1%
South East = 26.7
