weeks to handing over, Saraki launches rehabilitation of Kwara roads

Bukola Saraki Senate President begins rehabilitation of roads in Omu-Aran, Irepodun local government area of Kwara state .

The rehabilotation was lunched on Sunday, May 12, by Saraki to fixed some township roads in Omu-Aran, Irepodun local government area of Kwara state.

Saraki observed that beginning of the projects is to fulfil the promise he madeto the people of the area

The Senate president request the people of the area to established mutual relationship with the contractor handling the project.

Saraki, is said to be facing new issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was represented by his deputy chief of staff, Gbenga Makanjuola.

Saraki said that the project was meant to fulfill his promise and help in reducing the sufferings of the people of the community just as he required the residents to give the construction company high cooperation in order to ensure the quick completion of the Road project.

He said “It is to the glory of God that our promise on the reconstruction of Omu-Aran township roads has today become a reality.

“As the project progresses, I want to solicit your maximum support and cooperation in order to ensure its speedy completion.

“Residents who have kiosks, containers and other things that can cause obstruction should have them removed without any altercation,”.

According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Saraki granted the people of the community that more developmental projects would be launched in the community, noted that the road project as just a tip of the iceberg.

Respond by the contractor handling the project, Adeyemo Ismail, said that his company’s ready to complete the project within a short period of time. On his part, Muyiwa Oladipo, the chairman of the local government area, said that the project as very timely, and of great benefit.

He said “Recently, the roads were given a facelift by Makanjuola but today our joy is unquantifiable.

“Also deserving recognition and commendation are the street lights provided across the nooks and crannies of the community financed by Makanjuola,”

Legit.ng said” he said adding that the project had gone a long way in assisting security agencies in their patrols and surveillance. Also, the traditional ruler of the community, Abdulraheem Adeoti, lauded Saraki for considering the community worthy of recognition through the road intervention”.
