As Senator OBA fetes them
They may be physically challenged but spiritually and mentally very sound going by their prayers and conversations according to Rt Hon Nsikak Ikpe, PDP chapter Chairman of Nsit Ibom LGA on Tuesday 14th May, 2019 when he joined physically challenged persons in their numbers who converged on Senator Bassey Albert (OBA) Liaison office hall in Ewet housing Estate, Uyo for thanksgiving to appreciate God for answering their prayers for the re-election of Gov Udom Emmanuel, Senator Bassey Albert (OBA), Rt Hon Dr Henry Archibong and the election of Obong Paul Ekpo and other PDP Political office holders in the State.
Co-ordinator of the group, Miss Iniobong Michelle Joseph, herself a physically challenged law student with the University of Uyo said it was a promise they made to God in the build up to the 2019 general elections that they will come back to appreciate Him when the elections are done and dusted for the successful re-election of Gov Udom Emmanuel, Senator OBA who has been their Benefactor and other PDP Political office holders in the State.
Chairman of Senator Bassey Albert Liaison office, Mr Daniel Udoh alias (North South) who received them on behalf of the Distinguished Senator thanked them for coming, their fervent prayers and support during the just concluded general elections while assuring that he will convey their good wishes to Senator OBA and donated to the physically challenged to assist them back to their destinations.
President of Market women of Akwa lbom State, Evangelist (Mrs) Enobong Akwaima who joined in the thanksgiving lauded them for their love, prayers and support they have shown to Gov Udom Emmanuel, Senator OBA and other PDP elected political office holders while praying God to enrich them abundantly.
In his goodwill message, Executive Chairman of Ibiono Ibom LGA, Rt Hon EkomaAbasi Akpan said the physically challenged should be encouraged by the gift of life and should explore opportunities in vocations to enhance their well being while appreciating them for their love and prayers for Gov Udom Emmanuel and Senator OBA. Akpan donated handsomely to them.
Pastor Udofia of the Apostolic Church Nigeria who gave a brief exhortation noted that God uses people in situations like this to change things no matter how difficult as He listens to their prayers and thanked them for their love for politicians like Gov Udom Emmanuel, Senator OBA who genuinely have the people at heart. Prayers were offered to God for Gov Udom Emmanuel, Senator OBA and other elected political office holders for more wisdom to serve the people diligently. The servant of God also prayed for Mrs Rose Ekong for giving the physically challenged access to Senator OBA.
Mrs Rose Ekong, Secretary to Senator OBA was obviously appreciative of the physically challenged for their show of love and personally ensured they were properly feted on behalf of Distinguished Senator OBA.
The event brought together some men of God to include Pastor Udofia, Elder Nsikak, Mr Daniel Udoh aka North South, Chairman, Senator Bassey Albert Liaison office, Rt Hon EkomaAbasi Akpan, Executive Chairman, Ibiono Ibom LGA, Rt Hon Nsikak Ikpe, PDP Chapter Chairman Nsit Ibom, Hon Emmanuel Etim, PDP Chapter Chairman, Ibiono Ibom LGA, Mrs Enobong Akwaima, President, Market women of Akwa lbom State, Hon Michael from Etinan LGA among other personalities.
