Chelsea to Sack Sarri even with Europa League Victory

Roman Abramovich is ready to sack Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri at the end of the season.

Sarri is preparing his side to face Arsenal in the Europa League final in Baku on May 29 and also led his side to a Carabao Cup final, in which they lost to Manchester City on penalties.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Abramovich is still ready to wield the axe this summer, despite Sarri also guiding the Blues to a top-four spot.

According to the Italian outlet, Abramovich is concerned by the manager’s ‘troubled’ relationship with the club’s fans and would sack him even if he wins the Europa League.

It is reported that Sarri could make a swift return to management, with Roma and Milan both thought to be interested in the former Napoli boss.

Gazzetta also claim that Juventus remains an ‘option’ for him with Massimiliano Allegri’s future seemingly in the balance.
