New NYSC DG visit Governor Bello, extols his contributions to scheme in the State

The Newly Appointed Director-General, National Youth Service Corps Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim on Tuesday paid a courtesy vistit to Governor Yahaya Bello, where he extoled the governor and his team for its numerous contributions to the scheme in the State.

The Director General also stated that his visit was to also commensurate with the State Government and the State’s NYSC family over the tragic death of former Kogi State NYSC coordinator, Mrs. Oludolapo Ahile.

Late Mrs. Ahile lost her live recently in an auto crash along Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia highway in Nassarawa State in company of her husband.

Brig. Gen Shuaibu thanked the State Governor for its quick response by sending the State’s commisioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon Salisu Sani Ogu and other top government officials to the scene of the accident to render the needed help.

He similarly thanked the Governor for standing by the scheme in such a time of grief

Governor Bello in his response stated that the death of Mrs Oludolapo Ahile still remained a shocking event to him and the State at large, owing to the contributions the scheme through her leadership have offered to the nation.

He noted that the late Ahile was a pragmatic, hardworking, astute and diligent public servant who offered her services to her country and the young generation.

Governor Bello while commiserating with the Husband and Children of the deceased, stated that her legacies and work would never be forgotten.

The Governor mentioned that as a government, it would seek to offer help to the family of the deceased and support where necessary in such a time of their irreparable loss.
