Nasarawa State Government Created 12 Additional Chiefdoms, Turuku chiefdom excluded

Bassa kwomu, Turuku chiefdom is not included as Tank Al-Makura create additional 12 Chiefdoms in Nasarawa State.

This development followed a submission of a Bill for the creation of additional Chiefdoms by the outgoing Governor Tanko Al-Makura to the State House of Assembly.

The Assembly passed the Bill and the benefiting Chiefdoms include:
1. Kodape out of Karu Chiefdom
2. Laminga out of Nasarawa Emirate
3. Ashige out of Assakio Chiefdom
4. Yelwa out of Toto Chiefdom
5. Agaza out of Keana Chiefdom
6. Kwara out of Kadarko Chiefdom
7.Tudun Wada out of Karu Chiefdom
8. Dari out of Kokona Chiefdom
9.Amba out of Kokona Chiefdom
10. Iggah Chiefdom out of Eggon Eholo Chiefdom
11. Kanje out of Awe Chiefdom
12. Sabon Gari out of Keffi Emirate

It would be recalled that not long ago, the Assembly passed a Bill that created the additional Third Class Chiefdoms of Musha, Gude, Gitata and Gudi.

Note: The 12 newly Chiefdom are of Fourth Class Status.
