Kaduna State Government has extend maternity leave for all of it female workers in government office to six month.
The announcement come shortly after the Inauguration of Governor Ahmed Nasir El-Rufai, by the Kaduna State executive councils.
The information was disclosed by the state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai on his Twitter handle,
According to his tweet, “I am pleased to announce that just yesterday, our State Executive Council approved six months maternity leave for our female public servants. This encourages the healthy development of infants through prolonged breastfeeding, among other benefits.”

Extending maternity leave to six month is a welcome development, for those who want to do exclusive breastfeeding, which often lasted for six month will compromised with the time giving.
