9th Assembly: Goje Steps Down For Lawan In Senate Presidency Race

Senator Danjuma Goje has stepped down from the Nigerian 9th Senate President race, and channel his support to Ahmed Lawan.

Goje disclose this today as he meet with President Muhammadu Buhari alongside Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state, over who will take over from Senator Saraki, as leader of the senate on Thursday, said that he has agreed to step down and fully endorse Senator Ahmed Lawan.

More also, he said that he has come to conclusion to go along with the choice of president Buhari and the APC, for the love he has for the party.

However, reacting to the development, Lawan thanked Goje and El-Rufai for the endorsing, saying that the steps taken, will bring unity to the party.
