Okorocha sworn in as Senator, Igbo presidency doesn’t exist

Igbo Presidency doesn’t exist, we may be talking about Nigeria’s President of Igbo extraction.”

Senator Owelle Rocha’s Okorocha of IMO state after receiving his long awaited certificate of returned as a senator elect, that was deprived of him by Independent National electoral commission (INEC), because INEC claimed that he was declared winner of the election under duress.

Okorocha was issued certificate of returned, base on order from the court.

According to the court, INEC has no right to withheld certificate of returned after the candidate has been declared winner.

INEC said that it only court that will decides to order the withheld of the certificate of returned.

Okorocha comment after receiving his certificate of returned read “Igbo Presidency doesn’t exist, we may be talking about Nigeria’s President of Igbo extraction.”

“Power is not given; power is taken.
The South East leaders cannot just fold their arms and expect power to be given to them just because they want power.
“Power does not go with sentiment.
Democracy is about the people and South-East alone cannot make themselves President.

“So you cannot be talking about Igbo presidency, it doesn’t exist. We may be talking about Nigeria’s President of Igbo extraction but that depends on what other geopolitical zones think about the issue.”

“There is need for the Igbo to mend fences. We are neither here nor there now politically.
We are not in the ruling party; neither are we making impact in the opposition.
