Benue people send a strong warning to president Muhammad buhari, over the plan to ceded some part of their land to Fulani herdsmen.
According to the statement signed by BAF, it warn the president that it will result to international violence if they try give any part of their land to herdsmen.
The statement read, “We want to inform the International Community that, any plan to give Benue land to herdsmen again after this thunderous rejection of Ruga settlement will evoke National violence that must lead to official cancellation of Lord Lugard’s amalgamation.
We want to remind BUHARI that we are not the forefathers of Fulani herdsmen, he must stop shopping grazing land for his men in Benue.
The President’s advisers must remind him that the constitution does not give him right to award contracts to states in his room. If the President is suffering from old age and illiteracy, the cabals must act now to halt the imminent voilence.
We want to inform all that, since the terrorist herdsmen burst into gruesome killings in attacks tagged Herdsmen -Farmers clashes, Nigerian Government led by a patron of MIYETTI ALLAH, Muhammad Buhari have introduced cattle colonies, grazing routes, Livestock development Agency and now Ruga settlement that did not require state government signatory. All this to the herdsmen President Buhari claimed were foreigners.
We REJECT Ruga Settlement and any further plan will evoke war. We shall seize to be law abiding if the Federal government suspend law and order in Benue.
“MIYETTI ALLAH must be warn that, we are not weak as they think. We are excellent in battle field just as Tiv people stopped Danfodio and Biafra. The same way we stopped herdsmen in Abinse, the same way we shall crush them all.
The International Community must wade in now if Nigeria must remain one.
“If core Northern elders are against this Evil, this is the best time to speak..
“MIYETTI ALLAH must not regroup and advance to the battle line.
“Nothing will succeed in Benue without the justice we keenly expect”.
