PROF. DANIEL S. UGWU – CHAIRMAN
Professor of Agricultural Economics with ESUT, Enugu where he has been involved in teaching, research and consultancies in Agriculture and Rural development for about thirty (30) years.
Prof. Ugwu served as the Acting Programme Manager as well as the Director, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation (PME) for the World Bank Assisted Project, the Enugu State Agricultural Development Programme (ENADEP) for ten(10) years (1991-2002).
Prof. Ugwu is a featured and registered Consultant with the African Development Bank (AfDB). He has consulted for a good number of other international development organisations including the World Bank (WB), European Union (EU), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UK Department for International Development (DFID) and ITAD Limited as well as with local development Agencies such as the Local Empowerment and Environmental Management Project (LEEMP), Fadama, Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) and Nigeria Environment and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP).
Prof. Ugwu is the Chairman/CEO of the African Centre for Rural Development & Environment (ACERDEN) with the primary goal of working with government, Development Partners and stakeholders to promote holistic development and environmental sustainability in Nigeria and Africa for the past twenty (20) years.
Prof. Ugwu has carried out professional assignments in eight (8) African countries, namely Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
Prof. Ugwu has eighty-five (85) publications in reputable international journals with focus on Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.

PROF. IKENNA S. OMEJE (PhD, FASN, FNSAP, RAS) – MEMBER

Professor SYLVANUS SIDNEY IKENNA OMEJE, hails from Edemani Amaebo, Ibagwa Aka, Enugu State.
He is a serving professional Agriculturist working at the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, in the Faculty of Agriculture at the Asaba Campus of DELSU.
He is a Professor of Animal Science, specialising in Animal Breeding and Genetics.
He holds a B.Agric., MSc, and PhD degrees of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Mr. Fidelis Nchewi Ekom holds Doctorate Degree in Public Policy and Administration from Atlantic International University USA.
He has 22 years work experience in the media and public service where he voluntarily retired in 2004, as Deputy Director, Ministry of Agriculture.
He also has over 15 years extensive progressive professional work in International Development Cooperation at strategic leadership and operations level with oversight functions in the implementation of Development programmes funded variously from European Union, USAID, German Government, UNODC and UK Department for International Development (DFID).
He has undertaken long and short-term missions/consultancies in the development of strategic policy papers to inform reforms and policy directions.
He presently works with a market system development, inclusive economic growth, livelihood and private sector Agribusiness development program – Market Development Programme (MADE) in the Niger Delta. He holds the position of Advocacy, Partnership and Public Sector Engagement Manager

Emeka Odo is a seasoned investment banker, Journalist and real estate entrepreneur. He started his career in Daily Times of Nigeria PLC in 1989 where he rose to the position of Group Economic Correspondent before leaving to join Intercontinental Bank Plc (now Access Bank) in 1991 as pioneer Head of Corporate Affairs.

He held various top management positions in the bank before retiring in 2010 as Executive Director, Lagos and Corporate Banking. He founded and managed Bluewaters Capital Ltd, a holding company with diversified interests in Financial Advisory, Real Estate and Manufacturing until 2016 when he was appointed the Chairman, Enugu State Internal Revenue Service, by the Governor of Enugu State, a position he currently occupies.

An alumnus of Cranfield University, United Kingdom, he holds a BA degree in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, an MBA from Enugu State University of Science and Technology and had further postgraduate studies in IMD Lausanne, Switzerland and INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

He has also served as a resource person during the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme 2015 at Abeokuta and participated in numerous MCPDPs which include Transportation and Land use Planning held at PortHarcourt in 2011 and in Enugu in 2016.
He was a Consultant to Abia State Environmental Protection Agency 12th August 2004; Enugu State Ministry of Environment and Solid Minerals on 8th December, 2004 and was appointed a member of the Abia State Technical Team on Integrated Infrastructural Development Project (ABSIIDP) in 2013;
A member of committee on Enugu State Transport Master Plan in June 2015;
A steering committee member of the Association of African Planning Schools, Cape Town, South Africa in 2015;
An accredited consultant of the National Environmental Standard and Regulatory Enforcement Agency (NESREA) 2015 as well as an accredited consultant of the Federal Ministry of Environment (FMENE).
He has also prepared numerous site analysis and report plans, Layout designs and Environmental Impact Assessment for some projects executed in Aba Urban and Enugu city which include Aba waste recycling plant, 7up bottling company 9th mile corner Enugu among others.

(2) PROF. CHRISTIAN MADU – MEMBER
Prof. Christian N Madu is a leading scholar and expert in the areas of environmental planning and assessment, chemical safety and security management, sustainability management, disaster risk reduction, process change initiative and quality control.
He is currently, NNPC/Shell Professor of Environmental Management & Control and Director of the Shell Center for Environmental Management & Control, University of Nigeria, Enugu.
Prior to joining UNN, he served for more than twenty years in the distinguished position of Research Professor at Pace University, New York, New York where he also held the position of Chairman of the Management Science Department for more than 13 years.
He served as the editor-in-chief of the premier journal – International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management published in the UK for more than 20 years.
He is currently, editor-in-chief of an international journal – Current Environmental Management.
He is the author of more than 17 books by leading book publishers and more than 150 technical papers in leading academic journals.
He holds almost 7000 citations of his research works.
He is a recipient of several research and teaching awards.

He is currently a principal consultant to the Federal Ministry of Environment on PCB and POPs and he is the leading subject matter expert in the country on chemical safety and security management.
He was also instrumental in training the early workers at ENSEPA now known as ESWAMA on solid waste management.

A graduate of law with a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from University of Lagos. Nnenna joined Enterprise Development Centre, the enterprise support centre of the Pan-Atlantic University in March 2007 as a project coordinator and was responsible for the successful implementation of the IFC ACCESS BANK Gender Empowerment Project for Women. Nnenna also coordinated the replication of the EDC model in Four African Countries (Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania) with the support of International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private arm of the World Bank with the then EDS.. She was also responsible for the implementation of the International Trade Center, Access! and Access 11 For African women in International Trade from 2007 – 2009.
