Updates: Court nullified case challenging Sen. Yakubu Oseni of Kogi central primary election victory

Supreme court has nullified case filed by Dalhatu Sheriff challenging the credibility of All Progressive Congress (APC) Primary election, that give senator Yakubu Oseni victory in the last general election in Kogi state.

Senator Yakubu Oseni, the senator representing Kogi central, was overwhelm with Joy today 19th of July 2019, as a case filled against him by his aggrieved APC member was strike out by the supreme court.

Oseni disclosed this while addressing his constituency of the outcome of the case.

Accoding to him, “Fellow and Beloved Constituents

“Today, the Supreme Court has finally nullified the case filed by Dalhatu Sheriff challenging my victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election that produced me as its candidate for general election.

“Recall that Sheriff was one of the APC aspirants that took part in the primary election which held on the 3rd of October, 2018 where the delegates, in an overwhelming majority, chose me.

“The aggrieved Sheriff challenged the results of the election at the High Court and the verdict subsequently pronounced by the judge was against him. He adequately sought more judicial remedy and proceeded to Appeal Court where the judgement of the High Court was affirmed.

“Finally, he took the case to Supreme Court and today, the final verdict confirmed that I was duly elected as the APC candidate.

“I want to use this medium to appreciate you all for your prayers and steadfastness in your choice and equally assure you that I will never be distracted by the remaining legal hurdles before me.
