54 suspects arrested in connection to the killing of Police DCP USMAN A.K UMAR

No fewer than 54 people arrested in connection with the violent protest that rock the federal capital territory Abuja on the 22nd of July 2019, when Deputy commissioner of Police DCP USMAN A.K UMAR and Channel television personnel Awolabi a corps member serving with station were killed, on the said violent, Three (3) others police sustained injured

The protest which was carried out by EL-ZAZAKKY, demanding the released of their leader Ibrahim EL-ZAZAKKY, that was arrested and detained for the past 4 year by the federal government turn violent as the protest begins firing live ammunition and burn down public properties.

Mba who stated that “IGP decries the incident, warns that Enough is Enough”,

Said that, “Police have arrested fifty-four (54) suspects in connection with the incidents. The suspects are undergoing interrogation and will be arraigned in court as soon as possible.

“The IGP, while commiserating with the family of the late DCP, condemns the incident and warns that Enough-is-Enoughas the Force and the nation at large will not continue to suffer losses on account of reckless and lawless persons and groups in the society.”
