The Speaker,Nasarawa State House of Assembly,Rt.Hon.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has underscored the role of the media in enhancement of democracy and good governance in the country.
Balarabe Abdullahi stated this on Wednesday in Lafia while playing host to the management of Nigeria Television Authority(NTA),Lafia,led by its General Manager,Hamza Musa Maikarfi.
He emphasized the significant role of the media in nation building while calling on journalists to continue to adhere strictly to their professional ethics in the interest of development.
The speaker commended the management of NTA Lafia for the support given to the state assembly through coverage of its activities and pledged for more partnership.
The state number three citizen acknowledged and appreciated the support and cooperation the house is getting from men of the pen profession.
Earlier, Musa Maikarfi said they were at the speaker’s office to congratulate him for his re-election as well as to collaborate with the House on how they will enhance their partnership and project the image of the assembly.
The General Manager commended the effort of the state assembly in defending the yearnings and aspirations of the citizens of the state.
He urged the speaker to build on the solid foundation he has laid so far.
