Babatunde Raji Fashola has blamed the inability of the Federal government of Nigeria to kick start Mambila hydro power project as promised by president Muhammad buhari when he resumed office 2015 as the president of Nigeria to Taraba State Government.
Fashola said that Federal government could not start the project, because Taraba state government who own the land where the project will be situated refused to submit final report to the federal government.
Fashola said this while responding to Question from senator representing taraba constituency where the projects will be sited, according to Sen Yusuf A Yusuf Senator Representing Taraba Central “Mr Fashola, what is delaying Mambila hydro power project in my constituency”?
Fashola in his Answer, said “One of the reasons why Mambila hydro power project is been delayed is that; Taraba State government is the owner of the land, and it has the sole responsibility for the demarcation process of the site. But uptill now, the State government has not submitted its final report to the federal government for the kick off of the project”
