Gov. Bello of Kogi have no excuse of owing workers salaries

Revelation by Kogi State deputy governor has disclosed that Kogi state Government have no excuse of owing kogi State workers, stating that the state suppose to have a balance of N127B (one hundred and twenty seven Billion Naira) left after paying all workers salaries include Local Government (LG) workers.

According to Jibrin Sam Okutepa who give the report after watching Hon Simon Achuba, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State giving out statistics of money that had come to Kogi state, since Yahaya Bello was made Governor of the state 2015.

He said, ;This morning I watched Hon Simon Achuba, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State reeling out statistics of money that had come to that state, Kogi state since Yahaya Bello was made Gov . Hear him: “When we assumed office kogi wage bill for state and local workers was N5.8B without screening.
N5.8B x 38 months =N220B
Total money received for 38months= N294B.
We have balance left of N74B, after staff screening
Kogi wage bill for State and local workers was N4.4B after screening we saved N1.4B
N4.4B x 38 months =N167B
Total money received for 38months= N294B.
We should have balance left of N127B after complete payment of salary to state and local government workers
Where is the money?”. He gave other damning statements concerning security and arms and ammunitions purchased by the governor of the state.

The state of insecurity in the state is extremely dangerous from the horse’s mouth.

The government of President Muhammadu Buhari and the party upon which the government and governor of Kogi State found themselves in power must be interested in this matter.

I think those of us from Kogi State must be interested in these revelations coming as it were from in house and from the number two citizen of Kogi State.

The level of terrorism in the state must be looked into. The level of thuggery and thuggish behaviour within the corridors of power in the state must be looked into and investigated.

Democracy is not about winning elections through thuggery and thuggish approach. No. That there is no democracy in Kogi state is a fact which can only be disputed by those who feed fat on the suffering and wickedness of man to man in that state.

That development in whatever form only exists in the fantasy and self deluded imagination of those who have no understanding of humanity is not issue to be debated. The government that thrives of falsehood and total disobedience to all known norms of civilisation cannot be said to be government for the good of the vast majority of our people.

The interview by the
Kogi State Deputy Governor, Hon Simon Achuba today on Channels TV must not be trivialised and put under the carpet. Nigerians are watching what Muhammadu Buhari government will do. If those calling for revolution by video can be arrested, it is time for the security agencies to rely on that interview to investigate the government of Kogi State. Afterall there is no immunity to investigations of sitting Governor. Names were called in that interview. The security of Hon Simon Achuba must not be compromised The government of Nigeria must show that it is above board in the ineptitude and mismanagement of governmental power in Kogi State. Many indigine cannot go home for fear of their lives. Things are that bad in Kogi State.
