Kogi PDP LG Chairman kidnapped, Says State PDP Chairman

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Sam Uhuotu, has raised an alarm over alleged kidnap of the party’s Local Government Chairman in Okene, Musa Adelabu.

The state chairman who confirmed the abduction in a statement said lives of the residents are no longer safe.

According to him, the gunmen invaded the home of the LG chairman at about 1:00am on Sunday and whisked him away.

He described the abduction as one too many, lamenting that members of his party in the last week had been consistently harassed by men dressed in security uniforms.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Hakeem Busari says his command is not aware of the abduction and has not received any report that a member of the party was abducted.
