Today was yet another historic day for the good people of Igu Kotonkarfe Kingdom, Kogi LGA of the State, as people within the Kingdom that’s youths, women, elders and political class join Ohimegye to tour round some historical graves site of the departed Ohimegye Igu who served Igu Kotonkarfe Kingdom meritoriously during their previous reigned.The Administrator of Kogi LGC, Hon. Chief (Barr) Muhammed Musa Tanko Osuku, who also hold numerous title in the Egbira land with the following well recognised title which including the Danmasani of Kotokarfe Kingdom, Makama Dogo of Osuku, Barde of Opanda, Waziri Daudu Of Onumaye and also Dangaladima of Girinya numerous but few to mentioned was among those high tittle holders that accompanied Ohimegye for the toured that lasted for 3 hours.The first of call was at Okpaka community where late Ohimegye, some of their late mothers and others senior title holders were also buried there. Only different that differentiate those graves from that of Ohimegye was by it’s size, while those of Ohimegye was as big as almost size of a room.During the toured the Ohimegye and Agaba Idu of Igu Kotonkarfe Kingdom, Kogi LGA of Kogi State, HRM. Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isahkoto said today historic event cannot be over emphasize considering it’s importance to all Egbira race particularly those that hailed from Igu Kingdom.According to Ohimegye, the grave site was part of it’s history that cannot be forgotten having served their forefather land meritoriously before deaths took them away. “We are here to prayed for their souls and inline with our culture which the site is expected to be tour annually and accordingly”.From Okpaka community the royal delegation head straight to Girinya community to inspect another Historic grave of late Ohimegye who was buried at Girinya with name Ohetenye, same programs that was applied at Okpaka was replicated in Girinya.At Girinya, The people’s Chairman of Kogi LGA, Hon. Barr. Muhammed Musa Tanko Osuku thanked the people of Igu Kotonkarfe Kingdom for coming out in their numbers to be part of the historic occasion and assured Ohimegye of government support. The Chairman said.
