OREGBENI community protests over abandonment of Bendel Brewery in Edo state

An indigene of Oregbeni community of Edo state, the community were Bendel Brewery is situated stage a protest today, in demonstration of their anger over the abandonment of the company by the Edo state government.

According to report by Ogbeifun Fred the company was abandoned for a very long time.

“As at today indigene of OREGBENI community with the ODIONWERE PA DAVID OSEWENKHAE trooped out in numbers to protest against the abandonment of BENDEL BREWERY. And this said company has been like this for decades after the era of former governor lucky igbinedion till date.

“Before 2006 many youths, women and men were gainfully employed within and outside the community. And as we speak today reptiles has taken over the building. We are using this medium to call on the state governor Godwin Obaseki to address this ugly situation as it will further help to remove our teeming youth’s from the streets, reduce social vices and also generate revenue to the state.

The time to better our state is now. Obaghator kpere. Isee…….
