Kogi LG Administrator, Ohimegye Igu Kotonkarfe, Ohinoyi Okene And Others Personalities Attends Kogi State Muslim Organizations (KOSMO) At Her 1441, A.H Hijrah Commemoration Lecture

The famous Administrator of Kogi local government area of the support Hon. Chief (Barr) Muhammed Musa Tanko Osuku has joined other high personalities from all walks of life to grace this year 1441 Hijrah lecture held at Federal University Lokoja, which was organised by Kogi State Muslim Organizations with a theme unveiling of the 1441 A.H calendar.

The workaholic Administrator said in line with the historic event, the people were urged to continue to uphold the spirit of ‘hijrah’ by fostering unity, cooperation and the spirit of patriotism.

The Hijrah, which is the emigration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah, marks the start of the new year in the Islamic calendar.

The Ohimegye Igu Kotonkarfe, Agaba Idu, HRM. Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani IsahKoto, who was represented by the council boss and supported by Alhaji Musa Bako while Ohinoyi of Ebira land, HRM. Alhaji Ado Ibrahim was also ably represented.

Meanwhile, Hon. Chief, Barr. Muhammed Musa Tanko and who is also the Makaman Dogo of Kotonkarfe Kingdom in his speech said the state government was committed to strengthening religious institutions in the State With maximum support given over the years with aimed of guarantee religious tolerance.

The Chairman also joined other invited guests to launch the Hijrah calendar on behalf of himself, family and people of Kogi LG.

While addressing the media shortly after the event he thanked everyone, especially the KOSMO for recognising and honoring some eminent Nigerian particularly Kogites both dead and alive who distinguished themselves in various ways of propagating Islam to an enviable height. he said.

Earlier, the Administrator, Hon. Muhammed Musa Tanko and Alhaji Musa Bako, the Ohimozi Ogbani of Igu Kingdom all stood in for Ohimegye Igu where the Administrator equally launched the calendar on behalf of the Agaba Idu, HRM. Alhaji Abdulrazaq IsahKoto.

The awardees include: late Attah Ebira of Okene, HRM. Alhaji Ibrahim Onoruiza who received posthumous award, Alhaji (Dr) Ahmadu Abubakar, Walin Muye, Makaman Lapai and former Minister of Finance, Abuja and Alhaji Idris Danjuma Ibrahim, General Manager (Billing), AEDC Hqtrs, Wise Zone 4,Abuja.

Also speaking, Dr. Umar Jibrilu Gwandu B.U.K Kano while delivering lecture had reminded the people not to be easily influenced by seditious talks aimed at breaking the unity and harmony of its multiracial society.

“The value of peace as a solid foundation of the country cannot be gambled with by any party on the grounds of freedom of speech and any form of provocation igniting racial, religious and hatred sentiment through any media should be stopped immediately,” he said.
