landlady forcefully ejected a tenant out if her house with Army in Lagos

Landlady yesterday forcefully ejected a tenant out of her house, using army officer.

Omokoshaban learn that a landlady (Name withheld) of a house located at No 2, Sodiq Street off Professor Lake Oyabende street, Sea flow estate iyana-oworo, Lagos. Allegedly increased the rent of her tenant by 50% after a year. The Tenant pleaded that due to the economy situation he cannot afford to pay the amount requested and pleaded to pay the same amount he paid the previous year. The landlady was said to have disagreed, and ask the Tenant to vacate the apartment within 3days.

Surprisingly, on the third day the landlady allegedly brought members of the Nigerian Army to forcefully evict the tenant, during which they seized his phones and laptops after which they throw out all his belongings and lock the apartment.

The tenant went to report at a Police station, he was told to take picture of his belongings after which he was asked to come back the following day that the DPO is unavailable.

However, Before the tenant could find a place to pack his belongs he discovered that many items are missing, and he went back to inform the police, the Landlady was invited for questioning, and she promised to provide all the missing items.

The table turns afterward when the landlady allegedly refused to fulfill her promise to the tenant and vow to use all her connection and influence to send the tenant to prison should he ever ask her for his belongings.

The tenant went back to the police station to inform the police about what his former landlady said, and they promised to get justice for him. However, the tenant discovered that the police station (Name withheld) had been threatened not to listen to his case because since that day they have been posting him, with no result.
