Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) endorses Gov Bello’s second term Bid

Over 30,000 Members of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter have endorsed the aspiration of Gov. Yahaya Bello for another term in office.

Maiyati Cattle Breeders Association, made the disclosure of the endorsement at a meeting of the Association in Lokoja held on Saturday.

The National Organizing Secretary, listed improved security for its members who have over the years been under constant attack from kidnappers and cattle rustlers as reason for the endorsement. He disclosed that the association and members under the present administration have witnessed a new lease of life.

Alhaji Saleh added that the present administration has offerred a sense of belonging by appointing one of their members as Special adviser, said this is first of its kind assuring that the association would stand by the governor in the November governorship election.

He said the association also is endorsing the governor for belonging to the APC, an umbrella party, in which President Mohammadu Buhari is the leader and a member of Maiyati Cattle Breeders Association, reason why the association is endorsing the aspiration of Gov. Yahaya Bello.

The Organizing Secretary listed the provision of vaccination to their cattles Free of charge by the Gov.Yahaya Bello’s administration, as further reason for their endorsement.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association promised a ruga to ruga campaign for the governor ahead of the forthcoming November governorship election, describing him as a Fulani friendly and peace-loving governor.

In his remarks, Engr Abubakar Sadiq Ohere, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, described the endorsement as one in the right direction.

Aside making security cardinal, the Commissioner said the governor has made fairness and equity his driving force, assured that in no distant time, members of the Miyetti Cattle Breeders Association would be appointed as Commissioners and Council Chairmen in the state.

He described the economic importance of The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders as vital to the sustenance of the GDP of the state, described their support for Gov. Bello as one that would improve on their well-being.

Engr Ohere described the relationship of President Buhari and Gov. Bello as that of a father and son, urging them to continue in the support, assuring that their support would be rewarded in many ways especially as it has to do with the security of their lives and businesses.

Ohere equally assured that sustained peaceful coexistence between the members and other tribes in the state, security of life and property of every citizen and residents of Kogi State would be topmost priority in governor Yahaya Bello’s administration.
