Go And Conduct Your elections Peacefully Without Rancour, Administrator Of Kogi, Kotonkarfe LGC Tells NULGE Contestants, Says Any Group Caught Breaches The Rule Will Be Dealt With

The Administrator of Kogi, Kotonkarfe Local Government Area of the State, Hon. Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku has charge members of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Kogi LG to conduct themselves in a peaceful and responsible manner during the forthcoming union’s elections.

The diligent Administrator gave the hints when the two sides delegation’s visited him in his office at the council Secretariat, Kotonkarfe on Wednesday.

He said automatic punishment awaits any member or group of people found to have caused a breach of peace during the forthcoming elections in the council.

“The council and people of Kogi LG will not condone any irresponsible conduct from any member or group of people during the elections no matter how highly placed.

“We expect free and fair democratic elections to choose your new executives that will run the affairs of your various office in the council for the next dispensation, hence all hands must be on deck to have a peaceful transition, “he said.

He pointed out that anybody caught to have breached the rule before, during and after the election shall be summarily dealt with, according to the law of the land.

Earlier in their separate contributions at the meeting was Council Secretary, Hon. Babaji Ndakwo, DLG, Barr. Abubakar Ibrahim, Treasurer, Alhaji Yusuf Ohikwura, Youth Council, Comr. Isa Abubakar Isah Ada Abu, Kogi Education Secretary, Comr. Salihu Usman, and others critical Stakeholders all appealed for a peaceful, transparent poll assured the Contestants of a level playing ground.

Also in the meeting was a delegation of security officers comprising Police, Army DSS, correctional Service, Civil Defense, Prison Service revealed that on that day of election there will be enough security personnel on ground to contained any issue arising to post election related matters.

The two aspirants contesting NULGE top job on Saturday 11 October, 2019 were Alhaji Yakubu Muhammed alias Information and Comr. Haruna Shuaibu alias Dagasta.

The contestants were made to be embrace each in the executive chamber of the Kogi LGC in the present of Security personnel, Administrative team and critical Stakeholders towards having a transparent, peaceful election.
