Army Named Igbo Motorcycle Parts Trader, Boko Haram Supplier

The naming of a motorcycle part sellers as Boko Haram logistic supplier by Army Chief is nothing but a mischief.

Brig.-Gen. AK Ibrahim, the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, paraded the suspect at the Gubio Super Camp in Maiduguri.

Samuel Chukwudon. A resident of Monguno since 1990. Have a shop known and patronised by everybody in the town. Samuel sells used tyres because the security banned them from selling new tyres.

Item found and seized from him.
a) 136 Fairly used motorcycle used tyres,
b) 200 new Motorcycle tubes,
c) Gums used in patching punctured motorcycle tyres.

His customer are cart pushers like water vendors and firewood sellers in Monguno.

According to army, he tried to offer them bribe to avoid arrest, that was why they suspected that he may be part of the Boko Haram insurgence.

Mr Chukwudon a legitimate businessman was paraded in Maiduguri and named a Boko Haram logistics supplier. Army burnt the tyres and tubes seized from him.

His whereabouts is still unknown. It is apparent that the action of the army was deliberately aimed to bring Igbos into the Boko Haram madness.

Nigeria have one of the best military (Human intelligence) according to their performances in various peace missions overseas, therefore, there is excuse that a general will be involved in this sham arrest and humiliation of a legitimate trader. – Chidi Cali.
