Kovacic completed 135 of his 141 passes at Vicarage Road, equating to a remarkable 96 per cent success rate.
He was in possession 11.7 per cent of the time, had 157 touches of the ball and was successful with four dribbles, a figure matched by Christian Pulisic.
As a team we had a 62.7 per cent share of possession, and completed 90 per cent of our passes.
Kovacic’s midfield partner Jorginho was also heavily involved in midfield, completing 117 of his 125 passes. He also made three interceptions. Only Kurt Zouma, with four, managed more.
Willian made a game-high four key passes.
