Two brother, Omorodion, and wisdom sentence to one year imprisonment for frauds in Benin

Federal High Court sitting in Benin city, the Edo State Capital has Sentences Two Brothers to One Year Imprisonment for Fraud

The two brothers identity as Onojiolou wisdom, and Onojiolou Omorodion were found guilty of defrauding one Philian Uwadie of the sum of N15 Million, Four Hundred thousands Naira.

According to the report, the two brothers obtained the money from Uwadie in a false pretence of setting up business for her in Benin city.

Justice M.G Umar of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin yesterday 21st of November 2019, found the two brothers guilty of the offences, hereby sentence them to two years imprisonment.

EFCC who disclose the sentence said, “The EFCC, Benin Zonal office, on Thursday November 21, 2019 secured the convictions of two brothers, Wisdom Onojiolou and Omorodion Onojiolou before Justice M.G Umar of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin, Edo State on a two count charge of intent to defraud and obtaining under false pretense. The duo were said to have fraudulently obtained the sum of N15, 400, 000. (Fifteen Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira) from one Philian Uwadiae under the pretense that the money was to establish a business for her in Benin.”
