Gov. Bello charge Ahmadu Bello University Alumni not to relent in given back to institutions

Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello has charged Ahmedu Bello University Alumni not to relent in given back to the university.

Governor Bello made the call yesterdays after he was honoured as one of the distinguished member of Alumni.

Chief Press secretary to the Governor, Muhammad Onogwu who disclosed the information, said, ” KOGI State Governor, Yahaya Bello has charged members of the AHMADU Bello University Alumni not to relent in giving back to the institution as he noted that university’s needs and demands were numerous and required intervention of the association and other establishments.

“The Governor was honoured as one of the distinguished Alumni members appointed/elected into key National and International positions yesterday by the Association.

“Governor Bello, while reacting to the honour noted that Ahmadu Bello University remains one of the premier universities in Nigeria that has consistently distinguished herself as true citadel of learning.

“The Governor who was represented at the occasion by the senator representing Kogi Central, Yakubu Oseni commended the Alumni Association for upholding the ideals of the institution as reflected in the quality of leadership the university has produced both at home and in the diaspora.

Being the youngest governor in Nigeria and product of the ABU, the Alumni commended Bello for his charismatic leadership and congratulated him on his re-election as governor in the just concluded polls in Kogi State while assuring him of their unflinching support . The event which was held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja yesterday was well graced by members of the Alumni.”
