Engr. Abdullahi Sule, walking his talk to Develop Nasarawa State

There is no gainsaying the fact that, true leaders have the primary responsibility for implementing their chosen strategy. While an action plan involves many discrete tasks, at the core the leader must build an organization that can carry out the strategy.

The Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS) is His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s action plan, “a practicable economic transformation strategy,” founded on a vision to sustain accelerated growth of Nasarawa economy and translate this to clear improvement in the lives of the citizens.

“The NEDS has taken into account existing policies of government that are in line with His Excellency’s vision to industrialize Nasarawa State to be among the top 3 most competitive states in Nigeria in terms of sustained and accelerated growth by 2023.”

For His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, his word is his bond. This is no mere rhetoric but a certainty! Nasarawa State is on the part to greatness!

His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has said he will make education a priority, as part of the discrete task to make Nasarawa State among the 3 most competitive states in the country.

The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has set a benchmark of 26 percent of the national budget and by implication, budgets of the states, for funding of education in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Education 2030 Agenda.

In his speech while presenting the 2020 Appropriation Bill estimated at N100, 519, 956, 857, Engineer Sule said the budget shall set the pace for the realisation of his administration’s development objectives as encapsulated in the NEDS.

To match his words with action, His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule announced that EDUCATION, SCIENCE and ICT is taking the lead, with N14, 742, 157, 845. 96, representing 28 percent of the budget.

28 percent allocated to fund education, science and ICT is sure signal that better days are here in Nasarawa State and that for Engineer Abdullahi Sule, his word is his bond!

Nasarawa State citizens can indeed take Engineer Sule’s word to the bank because it’s evidently clear that His Excellency has the political will to walk his talk.
