The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Chief Edward Onoja has directed members of the Project Light Up Kogi East (PLUKE) to accelerate efforts to provide the area with electricity.
He gave directive on Wednesday following resumption by members of the committee to assess progress of work which was suspended because of the rains and the electioneering activities.

He charged the 9 LGAs Chief Executives (Administrators) to summarize the Electrification summary of the 97 Wards that make up Kogi East as at today for onward action.
Speaking, the representative of the Attah of Igalaland, HRH, Shaibu Okolo and other members of the committee expressed gratitude to the government of Governor Yahaya Bello for keeping faith with the promise of electrifying Kogi East, noting that the project would go a long way in making life meaningful for the people of the area.
