Kogi/Enugu Oil well dispute, Ette community never part of Enugu, release Boundary result – Dr. Akor tell NBC

The traditional ruler of Ette community in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State Dr. Aaron Usman Akor has called on the National Boundary Commission (NBC) to release the field report conducted 10 years ago concerning the boundary dispute between Kogi community and Enugu State.

Akor, made the call during a two-day Peace Building Initiative workshop organized by NBC in Abuja.

He faulted the continued communal clash between the two community as a result of the inability of the Commission to release the result.

Dr. Akor sited that there has never a time Ette was part of Enugu State further said that from the demarcation of the Northern and the Southern protectorate, that the community was part of the North.

Reacting to the called, the Representative of the NBC, Mr. Yusuf Amana, called for peace between the communities sitting that the issue has been dragged for too long and needed to be resolved permanently.
