Education is the master key to development – Gov. Fintiri of Adamawa state

The Governor of Adamawa State has said that Education remain the basic key to the development of any society.

Muhammad B. Tukur, Senior Special adviser to the Governor on media disclosed this on 27th of December 2019.

The Governor said, “Our education system needs to be reformed in order to met up the global best standard, and to achieve this we must employ the service of qualify people.

Early next year, portal will be open for the recruitment of 2,000 teachers in the state, so that each and every indigene of the Adamawa that has the requirements and interest in teaching can apply.

It’s an assurance that this time, the selection will be purely on merit and not on “Who do you know and who knows you” as we have witnessed during the past administration.

We will not play with the future of our children. Our children are our most precious assets and most important investment. They are the pillars on which the Adamawa of tomorrow will be built up on; so we own it as a duty to give them good and quality education.

Owing to the passion I have for education, that’s why we made education not only free but compulsory because I want to see that every Adamawa Child irrespective of where he/She come from have access to education.

And looking at what is happening presently, we can easily say the programme has already started serving the required target as the number of out-of school children has dropped drastically.

We would go a step further to law that will make it mandatory or compulsory for any government after me to give Adamawa state indigene free education from primary to secondary School level.

Hopefully, we will set the pace and become the standard by which others measure themselves. This is achieveable with people’s support.”
