Chief Magistrate J. I. Agu of the Enugu East Magistratrial District on Tuesday remanded Mrs Amaka Otolehi, 32, in Enugu Correctional Centre.
Otolehi was caught on video slamming her young domestic help to the ground.
Otolehi was arraigned by the Enugu State Police Command alongside Jonathan Geowam, 35, an uncle of the domestic help, Peace Geowam, and who gave her out as maid.
When the five counts bordering on attempted murder was read to the accused person, Agu said he had no jurisdiction to entertain the case.
He consequently remanded the accused persons in Enugu Custodial Centre (prison) and adjourned to January 15, 2020, for report while the case file would be transmitted to the Attorney General of the state’s office for legal advice.

Many Nigerians condemned the action of the woman and asked for her arrest and prosecution.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Adurrahman said the command had invited the parents of the maid.
Abdurrahman said the girl’s parents said Jonathan told them that he was going to put their child in a school.
