Kogi State Government move to save the life of Munirat, Acid bath victim by Blood Brother

The government of Kogi State, under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, presently putting a palliative measure to see how they can save the life of Munirat Alhaji who was bathed with acid when she run to save her mother from her own blood brother who accuse there mother of witch and responsible for his fortune.

According to the reports, a Brother to Munirat said to have accused his own mother of been responsible behind his lack of success in life, after consulting a native doctor.

The Brother who is currently in police net, decide to use acid to bath his own mother when the mother is sleeping in the night.

Munirat become a victim, when she here her mother shouting, she decide to run and help her mother from her brother, the angry brother upon sitting his own sister, pour the remaining acid on her.

The mother was said to have died from the incident at the federal medical centre Lokoja.

The case of Munirat went viral few days ago after Kogi report, and Omokoshaban feature her on it publication.

The report, said the draw the attention of the State government, thorough the office of the vice governor, Edward Onoja.

Disclosing the development, Inside Story report that,

“Kogi State Government have moved to save the life of Miss Munirat Alhaji, a victim of acid bath in Ojodu, Dekina Local Government Area.

This resolve came following the victim’s public cry to Nigerians for help.

The eighteen year old Munirat Alhaji was severely burnt by acid poured on her by her brother while she tried to rescue their mother whom the brother accused of witchcraft and was trying to kill her.

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja, upon seeing the publication directed the Chief Medical Director of the state specialist hospital to swiftly move in and make arrangements for proper treatment of the victim.

Responding on a Social Media platform monitored by our correspondent, the Chief Medical Director, Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Attah J. noted that discussions were in top gear with professors of Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery in a private hospital in Abuja for the assessment and onward management of Munirat Alhaji.

He said ‘We are concluding discussions with the team at FMC Lokoja on the outstanding bill before her transfer.

He expressed gratitude to everyone who has shown concern towards the predicament of Munirat Alhaji.

The CMD also thanked the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja for his consistent show of benevolence and upright leadership.

Dr. Attah however promised to keep every persons informed of progress recorded.”
