Breaking. Akwa Ibom State Govt begins implementation of N30,000 new minimum wage

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has approved payment of N30,000 minimum wage with the Federal Government Negotiated Consequential Adjustment Percentages increase with effect from this month.

In a statement issued tonight by the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, Governor Emmanuel also approved one month arrears of the new salary package to be paid in subsequent months after January.

The one month approved is for December, 2019.

He thanked civil servants for their patience and understanding, expressing the hope that they will reciprocate government’s gesture by dedicating themselves to duties for the attainment of the completion agenda of his administration.
