EDO 2020: Group Urges  Oshomhole to Support support Governor Obaseki

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has been advised to support the reelection of the incumbent Edo state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki in the spirit of true reconciliation.

This assertion was made by the League of Afenmai Professionals a socio-political group based in the United States in a statement released yesterday. The group's spokesperson, Barr. Azeez Oshioke advised the national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to tow the path of honour by displaying political maturity in reconciling the feuding factions within the party and demonstrate that he is a father of all by throwing his weight behind the reelection of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Barr. Oshioke who praised Governor Obaseki on his superlative performance over the last three years also hailed Mr. Steven Oshawo and others who filed a suit before a Federal High Court in Abuja recently challenging the legality of the continued stay of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of the APC, for listening to the pleas made by some traditional rulers and opinion leaders in Afenmai land and subsequently withdrawing the suit before the court and said such gesture shows that there are still individuals who desire peace for the APC in Edo state. Such move he pointed out, suggests that Governor Obaseki is a man of peace and deserves the support of the National Chairman in winning the state for the APC at the forthcoming gubernatorial polls.
He further pleaded with the National Chairman of the APC to come down from his high horse and call the feuding factions within the party to the negotiation table to save the party from imminent collapse and reposition it to the winning machine it is known for.
